BasorPeople #6: Rosana Menoni

Today we have the pleasure of interviewing Rosana Menoni, who has dedicated 18 years of her career to our company. Rosana is a clear example of how one can maintain passion and a positive attitude in the same role for so long, demonstrating that dedication and commitment are key.

Tell us a bit about yourself. How did you come to Basor Electric?

Hi! It all started when I finished my internship at a company in Bellreguard. I was torn between continuing my studies or joining the workforce. I decided to sign up with a temp agency and told myself that if I found an opening in a Commercial department in Gandía within a few weeks, it would be a sign I couldn’t ignore. If not, I would postpone entering the workforce. A few days later, I got a call for an interview at Basor Electric. I attended the interview with a calmness I couldn’t have today, not knowing how significant that call would be for my life. And that’s how it all began!

How has the company changed since you joined in 2006?

The growth of Basor has been impressive. We started as a small team in the Gandía offices, and now we are more than 30. The company has grown both nationally and internationally. When I started, the warehouse was here in Gandía, in the building next door, until Basor Almansa was built, which marked a turning point. Over the years, the company has had to adapt to its own expansion. Although it’s not always easy, we are making it work. Basor has a spirit of continuous improvement, so it will keep evolving and updating in the coming years.

What is your role in Order Management?

From the moment a customer’s order comes in until the material reaches its destination, it can go through various stages: manufacturing, preparation, transportation arrangements, and shipping. Throughout this cycle, we keep the customer informed of each deadline and manage the order at every stage to meet these deadlines, both productively and logistically. It’s normal for issues to arise, but our job is to resolve them in the best way possible so the customer gets their material as soon as possible.

What are some of the biggest challenges you face in your day-to-day work?

Some of the challenges include continuously improving to always be the customer’s first choice, maintaining good internal communication to ensure the entire order process flows smoothly, and learning from setbacks to make the next delivery better. These challenges are not always easy, but with the help of my colleagues, who are great professionals, we overcome them.

What skills do you consider essential for someone in your role?

First, it’s essential to know the material we manufacture well and stay updated on any changes or new products. It’s also very important to have a good attitude and a lot of empathy with customers. Patience with unexpected issues is key, as is being a problem-solver and conveying confidence. And above all, if a problem arises, the customer must feel they are being supported at all times until the best solution is found.
